Sean Lester Rooks (born September 9, 1969 in New York City) is a retired American basketball player who played in the NBA from 1992 to 2004. A 6'10" center from the University of Arizona, Rooks was drafted in the second round of the 1992 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks. He was a starter for the Mavericks in his rookie season and then again in 1995 for the Minnesota Timberwolves but was a bench player for the majority of his career. He has also played for the Atlanta Hawks, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Hornets. He retired after the 2004 season after playing for the Orlando Magic.
