Sean Murray (born November 15, 1977) is an American actor. He is known for playing Timothy McGee on the television drama NCIS, and Danny Walden on the military drama JAG.

Murray was born in Bethesda, Maryland. He spent his childhood near Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia, and holds dual US/Australian citizenship.[citation needed] His mother is Vivienne, fourth wife of American television producer and screenwriter, Donald Bellisario making him Bellisario's stepson.

Murray's television credits include a starring role in the UPN sitcom The Random Years and a supporting role in Harts of the West. He has made several television guest appearances on shows such as ER. In addition, Murray has appeared in several feature films including Hocus Pocus, where he played Thackery Binx, This Boy's Life, and another starring role in Todd Field's Too Romantic.

He is the stepson of Donald Bellisario, NCIS' producer. Murray's mother, Vivienne, is Bellisario's current wife.

Murray and his wife had their first child, a daughter named Caitlyn Melissa, on May 3, 2007.[1][2]
