Sean Murphy (golfer)

Sean Patrick Murphy (born August 17, 1965) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
Murphy was born in Lovington, New Mexico. He was the New Mexico High School Champion in 1982 and American Junior Golf Association Southwest Champion in 1983. He attended the University of New Mexico and was Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1988.
Murphy turned professional in 1988. He was the first player to win on the Nike Tour four times in one year. He shares the Nationwide Tour record for most career victories with six (with Matt Gogel) and was the Nike Tour player of the year in 1993.[1]
Murphy has more than $1 million in career earnings.[2] His best finish in a major championship was T-32 at U.S. Open in 1996.[3]
Murphy lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
