Sean Christopher Mahan (born May 28, 1980) is an American football player who plays center for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years, he signed as a free agent with the Steelers. He replaced retired long-time center Jeff Hartings. In 2007 he signed a 5 year 17 million dollar deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers after a disappointing year at center for the Steelers, and the signing of free agent Justin Hartwig, it is speculated that Mahan will lose his starting position but instead become a versatile swing-man for the Steeler's offensive line.
