[edit] State Senate
Sean Burrage was first elected to the State Senate in 2006. During the 2007 session in a committee hearing Burrage broke ranks with democrats and voted against SB 807 which would have reformed the predatory lending practices of payday loan operations. Republican Sen. Coates votes for the bill, so it died 4-4 in committee, but with Burrage's vote would have likely passed in the full Senate.[1]
[edit] Current Roles
Burrage is the Co-Chair of the Rules Committee. He also sits on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Social Services, Business and Labor, Energy and Environment and, Public Safety and Homeland Security committees.
