Sean Banks

Sean Anthony Banks (born January 20, 1985, in New York City, United States) is a professional basketball player formerly of the NBDL's Tulsa 66ers. Banks is a 6'8" forward who played AAU basketball for the Tim Thomas Playaz attended the University of Memphis, where he was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2004 after leading his team in scoring. He left Memphis as a Sophomore after becoming academically ineligible.
Banks grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. He is a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell.[1]
Banks was signed by the New Orleans Hornets as an undrafted rookie free agent in the summer of 2005. He was assigned to the Hornets NBDL affiliate Tulsa. On January 5, 2006 he was waived by the Hornets and thus released by the 66ers. After being waived Banks spent time playing professional basketball in Puerto Rico as well as other D-League teams. Banks currently plays for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, another NBDL team. While playing on the Los Angeles D-Fenders Sean has received honors by participating in the D-League All-Star Game 08'(Scoring 14pts) in New Orleans and being named to the All D-League First Team (07-08)
He Led The D-Fenders in Scoring by Averaging 22.4pts leading the team to the D-League Playoffs (07-08)
