Sea Ray
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sea Ray is a brand of pleasure boats owned by the Brunswick Corporation. It was founded as an independent company, Ray Industries, in 1959 in Detroit, Michigan by C.N. Ray. That company was bought by Brunswick for $350 million in 1986. At the time, the purchase made Brunswick the largest pleasure boat producer in the world.[1]
Sea Ray manufactures boats ranging from 17 foot power cuisers to 60 foot yachts, including the well-known SunDancer brand. Sea Ray is based in Knoxville, Tennessee and operates three factories in Tennessee and four in Florida.[2]
