SeaWorld Ohio was a park in the SeaWorld chain of marine animal theme parks. The park opened in 1970 directly across from Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom.
SeaWorld Ohio was sold to Six Flags in January, 2001 as a part of combining their Six Flags Ohio (Geauga Lake) park with SeaWorld to form a megapark known as Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. During this era, the park became known as the "Wild Life" side of the park. Six Flags then realized the park was not successful and sold the megapark to Cedar Fair in 2004, in which the parks returned to its original name, Geauga Lake.
Cedar Fair was unsure of what to do with the SeaWorld side of the park. It was not until later that year when Cedar Fair announced the demolition of the park, replacing it with a brand new water park called Wildwater Kingdom. Many buildings and parts of theming are implemented and still used in Wildwater Kingdom.
