MediaWiki talk:Searchquery

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you change the url to <a href="/w/index.php?title=$1&action=edit"> you get directly the edit screen. And not the Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. page. 11:59, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Please fix

Search results for non-existent pages render this message without any links, only plain html code. I've tried fixing this in lv:, but wiki links won't work neither, so the only solution I found is text without links (like it is on de: and meta):

You searched for "$1"

I am not an admin, therefore I can't fix it here myself. Thanks! --Jūzeris | Talk 08:09, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

Apparently this only takes plain text, and not wikitext nor HTML, now. I've edited out the links. — Dan | Talk 17:30, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Create/request this page

Perhaps the search results should offer the same "create a page with this title" and "request this article" links as MediaWiki:nogomatch. See Wikipedia:General complaints#A good point for a newbie who was apparently confused by this. Bovlb 00:25, 24 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Works for me

I am seeing this rendered as links for non-existant pages, and there is apparently some other message that offers the "create this page" link, because I see one when I do such a search. -- Beland 03:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
