SeaWiFS Global Biosphere September 1997 - August 1998

This composite image gives an indication of the magnitude and distribution of global primary production, both oceanic (mg/m3 chlorophyll a) and terrestrial (normalized difference land vegetation index).

Satellite data captured by the SeaWIFS sensor are released into the public domain 5 years after capture.[1] Data less than five years old can be re-used only for educational or scientific purposes; any commercial use of such images must be coordinated with ORBIMAGE/GeoEye.
