[edit] Userbox
It too a bit to find the campaign medal for it (and I never knew that you guys had a different name for the operation), but here you go:

I'd be happy to make any more. All you have to do is ask. As for the second question, the SAS have a fine reputation, as far as I have seen. I probably know more than your average Marine or soldier because of my studies in history, but I've never heard anyone regard your group as anything other than a professional special operations force that knows thier business, much like the Green Berets or Rangers. bahamut0013♠♣ 12:33, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- The image you linked tofor your first request, Scotbadge_tn.png, is copywritten (in this case, protected by the British Crown Copyright), so I cannot use it in a userbox or in a userspace in any way. If you could find a free image, I can make it. For your second request, what exactly is the "Forty Twa"? If there isn't an article on the unit, I'm reluctant to make a userbox for it. bahamut0013♠♣ 19:46, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- I decided to combine the two:

[edit] Scots-Irish & Ulster-Scots Userboxes
I noticed that you started using the Scots-Irish userbox I created. Wow! I was really chuffed to see someone using a userbox that I made. Wow! I did want to point out, though, that the Scots-Irish link in that userbox connects to the wikiarticle on Scots-Irish Americans. I thought that you might not want that connection since you live in the U.K. So, I went and made an Ulster Scots userbox — User:SpikeToronto/userboxes/Ulster Scots — that you might prefer. It connects to the wikiarticle on the Ulster-Scots. I added it to the list of Life userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Life. If that box is inappropriate or inapplicable, let me know! - GowsiPowsi, if you want to argue in favor of retention of the Ashley West article, to not have it speedily deleted, you will not win by having the discussion on the article’s own TalkPage. The discussion for deleting is occuring at the page that has been specially set up to discuss the matter: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashley West. Go there and make your case. By the way, I think that the recent improvements to the article might help get it retained, especially if you can make any more such improvements. — SpikeToronto (talk) 02:45, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- I have added a bit taken from an article that West published in in-between magazine regarding the observing of art. However, the West article still needs additional outside references that are not from West’s own website and are not articles and books penned by West. Of the other users, including yourself, who have been editing the West page and actually live in the U.K., do you have any independent stuff you can add? For example, a review of an exhibition might be very useful. Perhaps someone you know has some clippings (cuttings) from newspapers, magazines, journals, gallery/museum guides, etc., that might speak about West’s art. — SpikeToronto (talk) 09:58, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
