[edit] Music genres
Hi there, I've noticed your recent edits which changed or added to musical genres for artists and songs. Many of these are not correct - for example you've placed electropop into a bunch of recent R&B tunes and house music on Goldfrapp's page, which does not apply. If you're unsure about specific genres, please bring it up on article talk pages first, and/or make sure you read the Wikipedia article about the genre to be sure. Thanks. - eo (talk) 19:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Alright I'm sorry but change them back if you like but for certain songs such as Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" and Fergie's "Clumsy" are not labelled as electropop even though parts of the songs have electronic lyrics! I placed House music on Goldfrapp's page because it was said that they use electronic dance music which i thought was house music from reading the "House music" article! --Seán Travers (talk) 23:02, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Seán Travers, 00:02, 24 May 2008
- ...such as Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" and Fergie's "Clumsy"...parts of the songs have electronic lyrics..
- Huh?!? Explain, please.. Thanks. --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 08:20, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I wasn't more clear but there are parts of Clumsy and Kiss Kiss where Fergie and Chris Brown's voices are electronically enhanced.--Seán Travers (talk) 08:38, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Seán Travers
- You could say that about probably 75% of the CHR/Pop chart, in some form or another. That doesn't make the entire song "electropop." --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 08:50, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] For the love of God will people please stop removing the genres?!
Answear to your question is that the pop rock source isn't right they don't call paramore pop rock on the genre section they call them Punk-pop and Emo rock their. I'm just trying to get User:Neon White to find another source and we're kinda in a edit war so. --Alive Would? Sun (talk) 10:54, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Just because AllMusic Guide dont say that Paramore are pop rock doesnt mean they aren't I mean they are obviously rock but have a commercially friendly catchy sound which makes them pop rock. You are now describing alternative rock and i'll let i stay if User:neon white stops taking away alternative rock. --Alive Would? Sun (talk) 11:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Dud i agree as long alternative rock is in the infoboxs. --Alive Would? Sun (talk) 14:14, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
