[edit] Abbey Road edits
I just reverted your edits to the Abbey Road (album) page, because you seemed to make a number of major changes without providing an explanation for them, except the word 'Infobox' in your edit summary. Can you provide any references for the changes? Flowerparty■ 21:02, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Looking more closely, it seems you've accidentally edited an out of date version of the page, so your changes were just undoing a load of other people's chabges. Sorry about that - I was worried you were up to some insidious new form of vandalism, I'm afraid. If you edit an old version of a page there should be a big pink warning bar at the top of the edit box, so you might want to look out for that in future. Ok then, keep up the good work. :) Flowerparty■ 02:00, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NBA Street move
A tag has been placed on NBA Street, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 18:48, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. This is so people can see what changes you have made to an article easily. Thank you. Camaron1 | Chris 19:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your move of Command & Conquer (video game)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, articles should not be moved, as you did to Command & Conquer (video game), without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. First, I want to point out that you moved the page back afterwards, so I guess you understand your mistake. Nevertheless, the move was wrong to make in the first place. If you had looked at the talk page you would have seen a discussion about this. If you feel that a previous move was wrong, especially if it already has a attached discussion, discuss it on the talk page bofore reverting the move. Thank you. --MrStalker talk 16:57, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Polo tecnologico
Just to give you a heads up, when there's an article that's written in another language, the tag to use is actually {{db-notenglish}}. Just so you know. :) -WarthogDemon 03:36, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Red cabbage
I was making a translation and by mistake I pasted the translated contents to English page. When I realized the mistake I tried taking the change back but you were quicker than me. Thanks BillyGee
[edit] Edit summaries
Hello, I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! GA Review
Dear Sdornan, I am delighted to inform you that I have seen fit to pass Gears of War for GA status, as I believe that it qualifies the criteria that is commonly accepted by the community. Further details of the articles passing, and possible further improvements to the article can be found on the articles talk page. If you have any questions about the review, please leave them on my talk page. Regards,

[edit] Warcraft universe and more
Hey, I just wanted to say good work on revising the Warcraft universe page, it's looking a lot better now, and also good work on the other pages you've done. I think cleanup like that is the way to go, and if you'd like to discuss your plans and thoughts, I'd be glad to work with you. And hopefully we can get some people from the WP:Warcraft active again. It'll be a tough road to handle, since it has to walk the balance between so many standards. But hey, good job on starting the work off. FrozenPurpleCube 01:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Development of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Hey, Sdornan! I really appreciated your perceptive review of the last article I brought to VGPR, and I was wondering if you would care to provide some commentary or a good copy-edit of my current project, the Development of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion article. Any help you could provide would be great. Thanks again! Geuiwogbil 18:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Good job! Thank you so much for going through it; it must be quite a pain. Let me know if there is anything you're conflicted about, or if there's any wording too confused to work out. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, though, since the all the sources are web-sources. Thanks again. Geuiwogbil 15:38, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Madden 97 Cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Madden 97 Cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] CSD on Dick Lane
I do not believe that this article will ever meet WP:AFD let alone WP:CSD, so if you want to consider it for deletion, you might want to try the AFD process. Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat 20:48, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
I moved the Dick Lane page to Dick Lane (American football) for disambiguation, decided to keep articles title as they were, with the football player located at Dick Lane, and created Dick Lane (disambiguation) as the disambiguation page since the football player is the most notable of the people named Dick Lane. Please don't removed my CSD. Thanks. Sdornan 20:49, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- CSD will be removed. It sounds like this is not a deletion issue but a disambig issue, so we should focus on that aspect of the information. I do not think they were in the best interest and per my reading of WP:D, it looks like we should forward Dick Lane to Dick Lane (American football) and then deal with the disambig page there. Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat 20:52, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
What I am trying to do is simply revert the pages back to how they were. Dick Lane was the original title of the article, not Dick Lane (American football). I made the Dick Lane (American football) article myself to made Dick Lane a disambiguation page. Then I realized that Dick Lane should remain where he was, (without American football disambiguation), as it is the primary use of the word, per WP:D#Primary topic. As you can see here, Special:Whatlinkshere/Dick Lane (American football), many pages that link to Dick Lane are being redirected. All I am trying to do is reverse what I did, and put the page back like it was. As you can see at Special:Movepage/Dick Lane, I made the move myself and merely want to reverse this move. Sdornan 21:06, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- Let's try and keep this at one place. We need to discuss this on the article talk page. Not here and not on my talk page. I have posted there the "issue" as i see it. No CSD for now. Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat 21:09, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dick Lane (American football)
Hey. I'm coming here to you because I see you have made a lot of edits to this page. I made an edit to the page which Jmfangio mostly reverted because we've had some recent history. He reverted my changes because I didn't discuss them and because of the recent history between us. I made the change again, and I ask you: do you think there's anything wrong with this edit ([1])? [edit] Jan Stenerud
The links to the data are there. Are you saying that the simple act of adding and dividing the numbers makes it unreferenced? I can post the whole damn spreadsheet if you want. My point is that, compared with modern-day kickers, Stenerud's stats look below average, and that's all a lot of younger fans know.
[edit] New Wave (music)
I've proposed moving New Wave (music) back to New Wave music. Since you originally moved it, I thought you might want to comment at the discussion. 17Drew 00:35, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect of A place to bury strangers
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on A place to bury strangers, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because A place to bury strangers is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting A place to bury strangers, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:NFL_Quarterback_Club_98.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:NFL_Quarterback_Club_98.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
Thank you. ~ Wikihermit 02:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Billion dollar babies cover.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Billion dollar babies cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. βcommand 22:07, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Two_Worlds.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Two_Worlds.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rockfang (talk) 21:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
