Harnessed and mass produced by Dr. Gregori Leviskov under the code name "Donokaly" for military uses as a biological agent in the late 1970s only to be discontinued due to it's volatile nature.

[edit] Symptoms

During the fews studies that were made during the Donakaly project, the symptoms were similar in all cases regardless of the host. Upon coming in contact with the air born virus it immediately attacked the brain and caused dizzy spells along with vomit and nausea. The effects grew in intensity within the hour and led to fainting and in some cases a coma.

For those that did not fall into a coma, the fainting would cease early into the second hour only to be replaced by sores all over their body. These sores generally led the first team to come in contact with the disease to assume it was the "Bubonic Plague". However the symptoms quickly worsened and the patient would begin to lose blood through every orifice on their body.

Due to the nature of the disease all patients were immediately quarantined and monitored remotely until their inevitable death with the third hour of contraction.

The unique point of this disease was discovered during a routine remote examination when one of the patients was caught looking directly at the camera and spoke just as they had full organ failure. This was later confirmed as the signature point of the disease as more and more cases were reported. What the patients said was kept under classified files.

~1400 AD – Amon is born near Rome Italy and at the age of 18 becomes extremely ill and is sent to the local monastery to live out his final days.

  • During this time he is cared for by a young woman named Claudia.
  • After days of nurturing and caring for Amon, Claudia begins to prepare for his inevitable death as it appears that the day is near.
  • That night she comes to see him and he motions her to come closer to speak what she believes are his final words and he says:

“The only path to enlightenment is through death”

He then exhales his last breath and she is close enough in inhale it. (transference)

  • The next day after the final preparations are made she comes to find that he has completely recovered and she reports this to the bishop.
  • The bishop comes and calls it a miracle and goes to consult with the rest of the friars and such.
  • While they’re gone Claudia prepares a meal for Amon and he awakens and begins to tell her about the “Path to Enlightenment” of which he spoke of with his “last breath”
  • At first she’s skeptical and pays little to no attention as his age precedes him.
  • Over the next few days he begins to show her how after meeting him she has not been ill nor have any of her past ailments been a problem.
  • She’s in disbelief still, until he tells her that the child she carries verifies his claims. She becomes upset because she’s sterile. Because of this she stops caring for him at the monastery.
  • 3 months later she realizes that she IS pregnant and goes to find Amon in his home town after being released from the monastery as a miracle child.
  • During the following months during her pregnancy she begins to follow his teaching and begins to record his teaching and keeps a private journal.
  • His teaching involves the belief that there is a third realm of existence between the physical and the spiritual. (ie: heaven isn’t the only option)
  • After some time together Amon’s teachings begin to spread throughout the village and reach the religious officials.
  • The officials see this as a threat to their teaching and discredit him by tying his teachings to the belief of hell and stating that he is a messenger of the devil and is here to recruit more souls.
  • Amon does not stop his teachings and is taken over night from his home claiming that they are going to expel the demons in him.
  • After days of them trying to make him stop his beliefs they realize they can’t and decide to kill him.
  • In fear that they will be discovered they send the boy home again saying he’s been cured and en route two men attack the caravan and attack the boy leaving him for dead and killing the carriage driver.
  • The two men that did the hit return to their home towns and soon after reports of a mysterious plague begin to come in.
  • On her way to enquire about Amon she comes across the carriage and finds the dead driver and Amon inside with several stab wounds and decides to take him to a abandoned cottage she knows of in the woods.
  • She then nurses Amon back to health and notifies the other followers about what happened. This leads a group forming as protection for Amon and Claudia’s child. To identify the members they wear an innocuous symbol that possesses a representation of the amulet that is worn around Amon’s neck.
  • Claudia leaves Amon in the care of his guardians along with her daughter and returns to the city where she is immediately detained, question and killed as the first martyr in Amon’s name.
  • All members of the torture team leave the city after she’s dead and soon after the “plague” begins to outbreak again however this time one of the members is from Ireland and the infection spreads there.
