Alvah Crocker (b. October 14, 1801 in Leominster, Massachusetts; † December 26, 1874 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts) was an American entrepreneur and politician. After graduating form Groton Academy, he started a career in the papercraft industry. At first he was employed in Franklin (New Hampshire) and from 1823 on in Fitchburg. Afterwards, he got involved establishing his own company in this field. Later, he was being active in politics. In 18361, 842 und 1843, he was elected to the House of Representatives of Massachusetts gewählt.
He was also investing in the Hoosac Tunnel (Hoosac Range), connecting MA with Vermont. He was president of several railroad companies, e.g. „Boston and Fitchburg Railroad“ and „Troy and Boston Railroad“. His papercraft industries grew to one of the largest in the nation.
