Talk:Scream School

[edit] Copyright violation of text. No quotation, no attribution, doesn't match WP:QUOTE.

Another editor and I have had a disagreement of what constitutes a WP:COPYVIO. Because the editor User:JLaTondre had made the same change to this article in recent past, I asked that he/she join the conversation. I'd ask User:CorenSearchBot to join too, but I don't think it would have much to say. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 18:16, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I've added the < blockquote > to the article, before the text. Since it's a quote from the back of the book. Alinblack (talk) 18:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
The text is copyrighted. If the other site copied it from the back of the book, they either have permission to do so or they are violating the book's copyright. Simply because its on the back of the book does not mean it's not copyrighted. Fair use allows for limited usage, it does not allow for whole sale copying that consists of the majority of the new text. If you want a synopsis, write one yourself. -- JLaTondre 23:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
