Scrutator Halie

Scrutator Halie is a secondary character in Ian Irvine's The Well of Echoes quartet. She is one of four female Council members and was once an ally of Xervish Flydd. While she is relatively uncorrupt, she is still unforgiving of failure and condemns Flydd to slavery with the rest of the Council.

She is a small, dark woman who wears a lot of red make up on her cheeks. She is a relatively kind-hearted woman, but is as hard as any of the other Scrutators and as cowed by the threat of The Numinator.

She survives the chaos of Fiz Gorgo and escapes back to Nennifer. She is forced to support Scrutator Fusshte's leadership of the Council, when The Amplimet strikes out at Nenniffer, after it is coaxed by Malien and Yggur.

She struggles with the only other female surviving Scrutator to pull Tiaan Liise-Mar and the Amplimet to them, but Nish throws them off balance, knocking the other scrutator down to her death.

Fusshte and Halie then flee, during the chaos at Nennifer, and while Fusshte returns to attempt to regain control of the world, Halie disappears and her fate is currently unknown.
