ScriptLogic Corporation is a software manufacturer of network administration products for Microsoft Windows-based networks. ScriptLogic’s suite of desktop, server, and Active Directory management products help network administrators save time, increase security, and maintain regulatory compliance. More than 18,000 customers use ScriptLogic solutions to manage approximately 5 million desktops and 100,000 servers.

ScriptLogic, founded in 1997, initially made a user desktop configuration management tool for network administrators. Over the years, this basic logon script replacement tool has grown into a complete desktop configuration management solution called the Desktop Authority product. Additional desktop management and Windows server products have been added to the portfolio; including disk imaging, application packaging, Active Directory, security management, and regulatory compliance solutions.
ScriptLogic has a global customer base and network of distribution partners, with offices in the U.S., U.K., and Australia.
June 21, 2007 Quest Software and ScriptLogic Corporation announced that Quest is to acquire Scriptlogic to broaden capabilities and share the experience accumulated by companies. It was decided though that Scriptlogic will function as wholly-owned subsidiary of Quest. That is it will maintain a separate business and will continue to develop and provide a full support to its products without any kind of losses.
August 9, 2007 Quest Software announced about the successful close of Scriptlogic's aqusition procedure with a $90 million transaction in cash. That all will allow to bring all the power of two ISV to the market and deliver the top-notch experience driven by expertise in such areas as database, applications, Windows, and systems lifecycle management for Windows-based networks.
