Scribner Army Airfield was located in Dodge County, 3 miles SE of Scribner, Nebraska.
It was one of eleven United States Army Air Force training bases in Nebraska during World War II. The base was under the command of Second Air Force Headquarters, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The base's primary mission was to provide aircrew training. Between November 1943 and March 1944 the 36th Fighter Group trained at Scribner with Republic P-47 Thunderbolts. After leaving, the 36th FG was assigned to Ninth Air Force at RAF Kingsnorth England.
The base closed on 31 December 1945. Today the airfield is known as Scribner State Airport (SCB).
