Scribd is a document sharing website.[1][2] It currently houses over 350,000 documents.[2] The site was initially funded with $12,000 funding from Y Combinator, but has since received over $3.7 million from Redpoint Ventures and The Kinsey Hills Group.[3][4]

In 2008, Scribd launched the iPaper service, [1] which allows users to embed documents into a web page.
