Screeching Weasel was the self titled first album by the punk rock band Screeching Weasel. It was originally released with 27 tracks in 1987 on Underdog Records. Interestingly, all 27 tracks were recorded and mixed in one night.[citation needed] According to Ben Weasel, Underdog's pressing of 1000 copies sold out in 3 months, but the label was not interested in repressing the record.[citation needed] The record remained out of print for a decade, but was finally reissued on CD in 1997 by VML Records in order to combat bootlegging (tracks 28-39 were added for the reissue).
