"Screamin' n Shoutin'" is a b-side track by Scottish indie rock band The View. As the title suggests, the song is influenced by heavy guitar music and clanky singing adding to its indie appeal. This song appears on the 7-inch vinyl version of the band's third single, "Same Jeans", which included other b-side "Cherry Girl" on CD.
On November 11, 2006, a live version of "Screamin' n Shoutin'" was given away free with music publication magazine NME. The CD, titled NME Presents Independent Thinking:1965 Records, contained a number of unreleased songs from artists signed to 1965 Records, including the live version as the opening track.[1] The song was recorded in the students' union of Abertay University on August 3, 2006.[2]
