The music video for the song premiered on Yahoo! Music on January 31, 2008[4] and was directed by Justin Freancis.

The video begins with Timbaland singing while being massaged and seduced by two women. It then shows cuts of Timbaland, Scherzinger and Hilson singing with and without Balaclavas under a car park. At the conclusion of the second chorus, Scherzinger is shown singing in an elevator while performing in front of a car with and without a robbery mask. The next scene displays Timbaland and his two friends planning a robbery with intercuts of Scherzinger, Hilson and Timbaland singing in front of a car. The video concludes with Timbaland and his two friends walking into the targeted house.

The video uses the Video Edit version of the song.

[edit] Chart performance

"Scream" made its first appearance on the Sweden Singles Top 60 chart, reaching a peak of number eight. In Canada, the song began its run at number ninety-two and has since peaked at number forty-four.

In Australia, "Scream" entered the chart in February, at number forty-two, before moving up to number thirty-two. It has so far peaked at number twenty. In Bulgaria it entered at number forty and has stayed at number twenty-two for two weeks.

"Scream" debuted at number thirty-two in New Zealand and has since climbed to number fifteen. The song only managed to achieve a low peak of number one-hundred and twenty-two in the U.S., which is very disappointing in comparison with Timbaland's previous three singles, all of which were top three hits.

The song also peaked at numbers twelve and fifteen in the UK and Ireland respectively, breaking Timbaland's chain of top ten hits from Shock Value in both countries.
