John E. "Scrappy" Carroll (August 27, 1860 – November 14, 1942) was a 19th century Major League Baseball player from Buffalo, New York. He played in 79 games, hitting .171 during his three seasons in the majors, mostly as an outfielder.[1] He died in his hometown of Buffalo at the age of 82 and was buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.[2]
