Welcome!

Hello, Scottlondon, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

As someone who's apparently done professional work, you might specifically want to take a look at WP:OR for some finer points of writing for an encyclopedia as compared to other media. (It sounds a little negative with all its don'ts, but helpful to read because it's policy that sometimes feels subtle.) Thanks for the contributions! NickelShoe 12:57, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi - just a heads up, it's probably best not to add links to your own site into Wikipedia articles. It might be better to add mention of them to the talk page and let other people add the information if they think the link looks good. Phil Sandifer 18:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
