User talk:Scorpiona/Archive 1
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scorpiona, I'm kind of suprised no one has given you a welcome message, given your great anti-vandalism work. Judging from your userpage full of userboxen, perhaps you've edited wikipedia before, though. In any case, thanks for fighting vandalism. I do have one small request. Your edit summary "rv Antivandalism" is confusing (and could be taken the wrong way). Could you use "rv vandalism" or "rvv" instead? Thanks in advance. Oh, and here's your welcome msg. Cheers!

Ahoyoy
Thanks for the kind sentiments, I probably haven't been welcomed because I've been pretty idle most of the time, heh. I'll be sure and change from using 'Antivandal,' albeit I don't see why it would send the wrong connotations. Anyway, I'll be sure to ask around if I need any more help, and thanks again for the welcome!

Token Black
Hi. I am not sure what you mean by me leaving obscenities involving the Token Black article, but my update is true. If you watch the first season, you will Token does sit in the front row between Cartman and Kyle who are in the middle row. Please don't accuse me a vandalism and obsecenties when this is a truthful remark. Thanks.
Re: Token Black
As I don't watch South Park, I wouldn't know. If that really is true, sorry about that. Do you have an external source so I can verify this?
--Scorpion 08:02, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Re: Re: Token Black
Hi again. External source wise, i have the season 1 dvds (which show in the the episodes as a student sitting front row) or also if you visit comedy central.com and go underneath the south park video page and play the environmental essay clip, for a split second or so in the beginning of the clip and another time during the clip, you see token sitting front row. Though this is a clip from the second episode entitled "weightgain 4000", it shows that token was ... well a token background character like butters till each (in their respective times) got an vocal episode (token's being cartman's silly hate crime 2000). here is a link to the comedy central's south park video page for season 1: http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/south_park/videos/season_1/index.jhtml?start=17
i hope this is a valid external source that is useable. Thanks again.
Re: Re: Re: Token Black
Well, as I got a magnificient empty space where the video was supposed to be when I went to that Comedy Central page, I'll just take your word for it. Thanks, and sorry for the mistake!

Obscenities
--This pertains to the article for "Dead White Males", and the edit conflicts thereabout-- If Wikipedia is to keep up pretenses of being encyclopedic, then it follows that its information should be accurate. The line from the movie is "But he knows his shit"--not "he knows his stuff". There is nothing offensive about quoting a lighthearted comment that includes a four-letter word except when you quote it incorrectly (which is what you are doing when you replace the word "shit" with "stuff"). This is not vandalism by any stretch of the imagination. Watch the clip for yourself if you don't believe me. Wikipedia should not change, alter, or reword quotes just because certain parties pretend to be offended by what was said. So stop citing me as a vandal. 71.76.135.102 20:13, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
-- Scorpiona:
Do not engage in, or collaborate in, vandalism of Wikipedia, as you have done on the Ed Gauthier article.
I have added your page to my watchlist, in order to monitor any additional vandalism you may commit in future. Rhinoracer 19:47, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
What the hey?
I have not committed any vandalism whatsoever in the article Ed Gauthier. The only thing I've even done with this article is revert it because of vandalism. You are completely out of bounds and incorrect in accusing me of vandalizing this page -- why not read the history for it before adding nasty messages to my talk page?
Abject Apologies from Rhinoracer
I'm extremely sorry, Scorpiona, I mixed up buttons and thought you were ADDING the vand.
I am a worm! Rhinoracer 11:06, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Early bird gets the worm
Heh, it's ok. Sorry I overreacted like that, I was pretty surprised that I was accused of vandalizing a page I thought I'd devandalized. Ouch!
:P

About Fushigi Yuugi....
I wonder why did I get this message for you
"However, unconstructive edits (such as those you made to Fushigi YĆ«gi) are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you."
I do not find any "vandalism" in my edits. If you mean that correction about Tasuki's feelings for Miaka, I should tell you that Yuu Watase herself has said, that Miaka's just a little sister to Tasuki. He does not have any romantic feelings about her. So, my edits were CORRECT. I'm waiting for your apology.
Multi-edit vandalism
Just a reminder that vandals can make multiple edits to pages, and all of these will need to be reverted. Take a peek at the page history before reverting; chunks of West Ham United were missing for two days because only the top edit was reverted. --Sam Pointon 18:48, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Your templates
Hi, Scorpiona. I noticed you created the templates {{Sobscene}}, {{Sobtop}}, {{Sobminor}}, {{Sobneutral}}, and {{Soblank}}. I was curious to understand the purpose for these templates. At first glance, they seem to be redundant with templates already available to warn users. Could you help me understand these? Are they something intended to be used by others? Cheers, Lbbzman 02:06, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Re: Your templates
The {{sobX}}'s are customized templates I use for warning users. While they are similar in body to most other warning templates, they have small customizations for my use (such as the link to vandalism-dispute, page-name parameters, and other small tweaks to the appearance). They weren't intended for public use. Have I violated some unwritten "don't make personal templates" rule?
--Scorpiona 03:58, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Example:
Warning: Please do not add obscenities to Wikipedia, like you did with Some page. Injecting unnecessary profanities, racially or sexually abusive comments, or provocative pictures to articles or user pages offends many people. Wikipedia treats such actions as vandalism and blocks people from editing for such repeated vandalism.
If you believe you have been reported in error, please leave a note on this page.
- Hi, Scorpiona. No, I don't know of any rule that was violated; I was mainly curious for my own purposes. Thanks! Lbbzman 16:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank You
I have been meaning to thank you. Back on July 28, 2006 I accidentally blanked part of a page, you reverted it before i could repair it. You sent me a warning but as you said it was an accident, so thanks for reverting the page.74.66.233.248 23:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
