[edit] Big Sur

Hey, I'm glad you like the Big Sur pictures. I'm not so good at page layout, so I'd say do whatever you think is best on the Big Sur page. All the best, Googie man 21:41, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image help

Hi Scooterboss. I have uploaded a picture I took this summer, but I'm not exactly sure where it is located. Can you help me? -- Fyslee 13:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

I see it in the gallery section of the article, at the very bottom. Scooterboss 20:27, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Ha! Of course....my clumsy wording. I meant to ask where the pictured location is found on the coast. I've been trying hard to find it, and I think I've cleared up the mistery and have described it here. If I'm wrong, or if you have more details, please let me know. -- Fyslee 22:49, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Silly me! Yes, I looked it up and you are correct that this is McWay rock. Scooterboss 04:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the confirmation. I'm not very familiar with that area, having originally come from southern California, and now living in Denmark for the last 23 years. We were on vacation and that stretch of coastline is so beautiful. The California coast and Rt. 1 are just great. If you have more information, feel free to add it to the image page. Thanks again.-- Fyslee 10:56, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Millicent.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Millicent.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:07, 22 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 00:07, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Thank you for correcting my mistake on Deetjen's being the oldest hotel. I know it's the oldest 'something' with to do about hotel. Maybe oldest hotel with electricity or running water? Or a restaurant? I will change the claim. Bmedley Sutler 22:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure that Deetjen's was the first of anything in Big Sur. It's a cute place, though, and I'm very fond of it. I just don't think any specific commercial businesses should be named in an encyclopedia, unless there's some specific historical significance associated with the business. Scooterboss 22:49, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you again for correcting my wording on touristed. I think to expand this article some more. Maybe some history of Julia Pfeiffer too? Bmedley Sutler 01:33, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I filled out the history of Julia Pfeiffer Burns park a little.Scooterboss 23:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Big Sur, Monterey Edits

I went to start a few articles on the state parks in Monterey and Big Sur areas because I didn't see then listed on the Big Sur or Monterey County pages, but it turns out most have articles but they weren't linked up. The Big Sur article had links to the official state parks sites, but not the Wiki articles. I started adding them on the Big Sur page under the official parks links, as a distinct list. Am I doing it right? I also found good free images on the NOAA site. I added one to the Point Sur article. Please let me know if my work is good. Thanks. Bmedley Sutler 23:58, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] More, waterfalls articles

Are you away? I just found there are several Big Sur park water-fall articles. Andrew_Molera_Falls. Do you think they should be 'merged'? I maybe do. I will use some of these photos in the mean-time. ΞBMEDLEYΔSUTLERΞ 07:55, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Waterfall pics OK?

Are you away?

You must be. I will add some of the water fall pics to the state parks articles. ΞSMEDLEYΔBUTLERΞ 23:33, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
