What is the definition of a Major Scottish railway stations? --Stewart 20:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know now but a lot of criteria was drawn up for Template:Major UK railway stations. See Template talk:Major UK railway stations. Simply south 22:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unsure of the UK criteria could be used, as they have a very high definition of what is a 'Major' station - leving only about 3 Scottish stations. I would say stations with multiple (3 or more) platforms in use? There are hundreds of two platform stations in Scotland, but far less multiple platforms. Prestwick I see being an exception to that due to its links to the airport? 193.63.235.73 11:28, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Talking of Prestwick, I thought its station was managed by Scotrail? --Dreamer84 12:19, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Prestick Town station yes, but the Airport station refered to in the template is owned and operated by the Airport company, see First ScotRail. 194.66.84.39 13:11, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- I knew Prestwick Town was but didnt know Prestwick Airport wasn't managed by First. Will have to update that station's page. --Dreamer84 14:16, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
