[edit] When is he born?
Lot of sites think 1 October 1944: http://www.google.com/search?num=100&q=Scott+McKenzie+arlington
- I think that too. The 1981 edition of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles has a photo of Buddy Holly pointing to the date October 1st 1957 on a calendar with the caption "Buddy Holly points out that it's Scott McKenzie's 13th birthday". I think part of the confusion stems from the fact that 1st October in America would be rendered 10/01 which might be mistaken for 10th Jan by a British person. MFlet1 12:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Having said that.... his own website gives his date of birth as 10th Jan 1939 so we shold probably take that as authoritative. MFlet1 12:25, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Techno version of the song
I have heard a techno version of the song where a sample of the original lyrics were used with a techno beat in some nightclubs. I have no idea who the recording artist is...4.230.54.82 08:31, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MacKenzie Phillips
Some mention should be made of the fact that John Phillips' daughter, MacKenzie Phillips, was named after Scott McKenzie. (It's mentioned in her article, but it should be mentioned here as well.) (149.8.226.148 17:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Slurm McKenzie
Has the character Slurm McKenzie from Futurama something to do with Scott McKenzie?
if yes, it should be mentioned in the trivia section
