[edit] Maceheads, palettes, and Narmer

One nice book, on Ancient Egypt, by a woman related that by the time of the Narmer Palette, and Scorpion Macehead, that these artefacts which we have inherited, as planet Earth, and Homo sapiens,....she actually proposed that they are referred to as "Historical Documents", and the beginning of what became to be known as "State Archives". The precursors(to these)(like Libyan Palette, etc), animal-fused Palettes, and pictorial, and theme driven, also contained some of the first uses of the Proto-hieroglyphs: for LAND, or FOREIGN land, and Foreigner-(many etc.'s).

At the time, I was accumulating books, and learning hieroglyphs, and retranslating the Rosetta Stone and sychronizing it with the Greek, (as well as some of the Egyptian Demotic). I then stepped back to work on the Decree of Canopus, part of the series, before tackling the Rosetta Stone fully(this is Text corpus, and Part-of-speech tagging tho I was unaware of the terms). But, I think this woman is correct. These are also the final items in the series of the Palettes, and Maceheads. The country, the "Riverworld" of Egypt was forming, hieroglyphs, language, and the pyramids were soon to follow. ....Notes from a SonoranDesert guy, ArizonaUSA--..Mmcannis 13:08, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
