Scott Wright (born 2 October 1974) is a British actor, best known for his two year stay in ITV1's Coronation Street, playing Sam Kingston from 2000 to 2002, who famously stripped in the Rovers Return. During his time on the street Scott was nominated for a national TV award as most popular newcomer and was delighted and flattered to win the less prestigious but certainly more humorous Rear of the Year title with Charlotte Church!

Over the years Scott has gained several notable acting credits on TV with Granada TV's Crossroads and BBC One's Doctors to name but a few. Added to this he played the title role in Merlin film internationals Tristan. Scott is also an accomplished singer who has appeared as George Michael on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes. Scott has recently been seen in ITV1's Emmerdale and Channel 4's Shameless.

Outside acting Scott made several television appearances on shows such as GMTV, This Morning, Loose Women and Richard & Judy. He has also taken part in reality shows including Trust Me - I'm A Holiday Rep where he spent two weeks in Cyprus for Granada Television pretending to be a holiday rep. Scott can presently be seen hosting the This Morning Puzzle Book on ITV Play.
