Scott Wilson (born 19 March 1977 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish professional footballer currently captain of Scottish First Division club Dunfermline Athletic.

Wilson signed for Rangers in 1993 from the clubs' youth system. He made his debut as a 19 year old in a UEFA Champions League defeat against Ajax at Ibrox in 1996. He made a further 77 appearances at Rangers scoring 1 goal before moving to Portsmouth near the end of the 2001-02 season.[1] Wilson played 5 games at Fratton Park and after being released, he signed for Dunfermline Athletic on 5 August 2002[2] making his debut in a 6-0 defeat to ex employers Rangers, 2 weeks later.[3]

Wilson has stood out as a consistent performer for Dunfermline and has been involved with the Scotland Future squad on several occasions adding to the 5 under-21 caps gained during his spell at Ibrox.
