Scott Williamson (hiker)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Scott Williamson is an American thru-hiker, famous for completing the first continuous one-season round trip of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Williamson completed the "yo-yo" in 2004, walking from the Mexican border to the Canadian border and back in 197 days. Two years later, in 2006, he repeated the feat, cutting two weeks off his time.

Williamson has walked the PCT 5 other times before these two attempts. He has also walked the Continental Divide Trail, the Appalachian Trail, the Florida Trail and other long-distance trails, logging over 38,000 miles over a 15-year hiking career.[1]
