Scott Rozell

Scott Rozell (B: Scott Robert Rozell, June 25, 1982), is an American drummer and record label owner. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he is currently the full time drummer of the band Scatterbox, as well as the drummer of Moral Crux. In 2000, he and friend Tony Shields started Blackhouse Records, which is still in operation today in 2008.

Scott joined Scatterbox in 2001 as the original drummer, and has been the permanent drummer since. Over the years, he has worked with such artists as A Hollywood Legend and Up In Arms. It has been mentioned that he has had sessions with the likes of Steve Von Till of Neurosis, as well as Terry Bozzio. In 2003, he took on full time drumming duties for Moral Crux, who were on Lookout! Records at the time, but departed in 2005 due to personal reasons. He rejoined in 2007 and is working with them on a new record scheduled for 2008.

Scott plays a Ludwig Classic Maple Series four piece kit with Remo heads. For the snare, he plays a DW Pacific piccolo metal snare also with an Evans 2 ply head. He also uses Yamaha hardware and Sabian Cymbals.

Scott resides in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and the Spokane, Washington area. He also works freelance in the graphic design field.
