Scott Mitchell (born September 2, 1985 in Ely) is a professional footballer currently playing for Rushden & Diamonds
Mitchell began his career playing for Ipswich Town. He made his debut, as a substitute, away at Derby County in November 2003, and made his home debut (again as a substitute) in a 4–1 victory over Watford, in March 2004. A month later he signed his first professional contract with the Blues. He made his full debut in the League Cup win against Brentford, in August 2004.
In June 2005 he signed for Scottish Division One side Livingston but left later for personal reasons.
In January 2007, Peterborough United took Scott on for a monthly contract. He made his first start for the club in centre midfield, in the 2-0 win against Rochdale.
In June 2008 he signed for Conference National side Rushden & Diamonds.
