Scott Mayer is a Meteorologist at WETM the NBC affiliate in Elmira, NY.
Prior to joining WETM, Scott was Chief Meteorologist at WeatherVision in Jackson, MS. He also worked in Orlando, FL and Rochester, NY.
Scott holds the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Seal of Approval for meteorological broadcasts. In July of 2006, Scott was the 160th person to receive the AMS's distinction as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science at Cornell University, graduating in 2003.
