Scott Matheson, Jr.

Scott Milne Matheson, Jr. was the U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah from 1993 to 1997. He is the son of former Governor of Utah Scott M. Matheson and the elder brother of Utah's 2nd District Congressman, Jim Matheson.

Matheson was the unsuccessful Democratic candidate for governor in 2004, losing to Republican Jon Huntsman, Jr.

He also served as dean of the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah from 1998 to 2006; he has been on the faculty since 1985.
