Scott Kosar is a screenwriter whose first script was for the 2003 remake of the classic horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He followed this with The Machinist in 2004, and he also penned a remake of The Amityville Horror in 2005. The Machinist received mostly positive reviews from film critics, while both Chainsaw and Amityville were largely dismissed by most critics while gaining favor with most fans of the originals. Kosar is currently scripting a remake of George A. Romero's 1973 film The Crazies.
