Scott J. Freidheim

Scott Jon Freidheim (born July 31, 1965) is a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and is currently Co-CAO and an Executive Vice President of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.
Freidheim was born in Dearborn, Michigan. He began his career in investment banking in Chicago at John Nuveen & Co. AIn 1991, he joined Lehman Brothers’ Investment Banking Division. In 1996, he took the position of Chief of Staff for Lehman Brothers’ Chairman and CEO Richard S. Fuld, Jr. Since then, he has held a number of senior positions such as Global Head of Strategy from 2005 to 2007 and Global Head of Corporate Communications, Marketing & Brand Strategy and Advertising from 2003 to 2007. Freidheim was appointed Co-CAO in October 2006.
In 2005, Scott Freidheim was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum as a leader in the field of business. Since 2006, Freidheim has participated in many panels at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland as well as at the innaugural New Champions Meeting in Dalian, China.
Scott Freidheim is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education (IIE), which administers the Fulbright scholarship program, as well as the Board and Selection Committee of the IIE's Scholar Rescue Fund. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Spelman College. Freidheim is also a member of the Economic Club of New York and The Council on Foreign Relations.
Freidheim graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He was raised in Brazil, France and the U.S. His father was Vice Chairman at Booz-Allen Hamilton, CEO of Chiquita and CEO of Sun Media Companies. His brother is hedge fund owner Stephen Freidheim of Cyrus Capital.
Scott Freidheim now lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
