Scott Gardner (born 1 April 1988 in Luxembourg) is an English footballer. He currently plays for Leeds United. He has played for the England national team at Under-16 and 17 age groups.
[edit] Career
On 18 May 2007, Gardner was offered a new contract by Leeds United [1] which he signed on 7 August, once the club's transfer embargo had been lifted. Having previously been a regular in the Leeds United reserve side, Gardner was involved with the first-team during the 2007-08 pre-season, including playing in a home friendly against Wigan Athletic.
He made his full debut for the Elland Road club on 14 August 2007 in a 1-0 win against Macclesfield Town in the Carling Cup. On 22 January 2008, Gardner signed a one-month loan deal with Conference National club Farsley Celtic who are also based in Leeds[2]. Gardner returned from his loan spell in late February 2008. He made an impressive league debut for Leeds in the 2-1 defeat of Gillingham in May[3].
Gardner is naturally a right winger, but has played a right back during his time at the Elland Road club[4].
