Scott Aukerman's Koo Koo Roo's Greatest Hits is a bootleg comedy CD released on September 11, 2007 on AST Records.
Scott Aukerman is a stand-up comedian and former writer/performer on the cult comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David.
The album consists of soft-rock, easy listening songs, interspersed with Aukerman and Sarah Silverman Program writer Jon Schroeder shouting numbers into a microphone, simulating the experience of sitting inside a Koo Koo Roo, a popular restaurant chain.
The self-described "joke CD" received a very limited release, as AST Records did not own the copyright to any of the recorded music used. Only 200 copies were pressed, and were given away with the AST online purchase of the Comedy Death-Ray.
When inserting the CD into iTunes, the track listing of Ultra Chilled 2 appears. This is the CD that Aukerman used as background music. This led to some confusion with purchasers, who, after seeing the track listing and only listening to a few seconds of the album, felt they were sent the wrong CD.
