Scotophile
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Scotophile is a person who is fond of Scottish culture and Scotland in general. Its antonym is Scotophobe.
In some cases, scotophilia represents an individual's preference for Scottish culture over their own; the belief that Scottish culture is superior; or an appreciation of Scottish history.
Alongside scotophiles who are attracted to 'traditional' Scottish culture (e.g. Robert Burns, William Wallace, David Livingston), there are also scotophiles who like music from Scotland and its contemporary culture generally.
