  3. ^ Match abandoned after 79 minutes by English referee Jim Finney after two Austrian players were sent-off. Finney said afterwards: "I felt that I had to abandon the match or somebody would have been seriously hurt."[3] Recognised by FIFA as official international, caps awarded by Scottish FA.
