This basic image can be found at [1] in an uncropped form. I believe this image qualifies under Wikipedia's Fair Use policy, as it is the logo of a sports team, and is intended to represent the team on their page.

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  1. It illustrates educational articles about the entity that the logotype represents.
  2. The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic.
  3. It is a low resolution image, and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit goods.
  4. The logotype is not used in such a way the a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the owner of the logotype.
  5. It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
