Scissors for Cutting Merzbow is one of three albums by Masami Akita under the alias 'S.C.U.M.'. The album was released as a 2X12" vinyl set in a limited edition of 500 copies packaged in a heavy gatefold jacket. The title references the SCUM Manifesto, "Society for Cutting Up Men".

The album was later reissued into CD format as part of Merzbox.
