Scikungfi

Scikungfi is a term coined by American author D. Harlan Wilson in his novel Dr. Identity. A portmanteau of Science Fiction and Kung Fu, Scikungfi denotes an ultraviolent, technologized fighting style as much as a way of life in the mediatized future of Wilson's dystopias. In addition to Dr. Identity, the term is loosely applicable to the novels of Steve Aylett (e.g. Slaughtermatic) and films such as The Matrix (series), Equilibrium (film) and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
