Sci Fi Pictures original films
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sci Fi Pictures original films are movies that are produced by the Sci Fi Channel. Since 2002, the channel has earned strong ratings from television movies it commissions[citation needed]. Developed by Chris Regina, Ray Cannella and Thomas Vitale, they are typically independently-made b-monster movies with total budgets of $1 to 2 million a piece. They usually premiere on Saturday nights.[1] In April 2005, the network announced that it would air 28 original movies on Saturday nights through 2006.[2]
They are also one of the sponsors for the Coalition for Freedom of Information.
