Category talk:Scientific illustrators

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This really isn't perfect, but there is a separate category for "illustrators" which is distinct from "artists" and treated as a subset of artists (artists by medium). But scientific illustrators, of which medical illustrators should probably be a subset, is a unique field, not well-captured simply by talking about subject matter of art. Van Gogh, for instance, is listed as an artist whose subject is flowers, but he's not a scientific illustrator. For now, though, at least to get the information correctly available to the illustrator line of categories, I've added "scientific illustrators" to the relevant naturalistic art medium categories. --LQ 04:51, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
