Category:Scientology and the legal system

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Church of Scientology has made extensive use of the legal system to defend itself and attack critics and those who apply the teachings of Scientology outside of the Church (Free Zone). In the years since its inception, the number of lawsuits filed by the Church of Scientology against newspapers, magazines, government agencies (including the IRS), and individuals has been numbered in the thousands. Critics estimate the Church spends an average of about $30 million per year on various legal actions, and is the exclusive client of several law firms.
