Hello again! How is your editing coming along, have you come up with some ideas about which articles you wish to create and translate? Rockpocket 05:31, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi Rockpocket we would like to write about archeological places in Mexico or Mexican Dishes like pambazos, tamales or atole. What do you thing about this?? Nathaly07 20:14, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
And for the WikiProject_Mexico http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mexico the topics that I found interesting are Escamoles and Jumiles User:Nathaly07 —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 20:25, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea to me. There are quite a few red links in our article on Mexican cuisine, it would be great if you could turn a few of them blue. Reading that article, and seeing the pictures, has made me very hungry! Rockpocket 20:28, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I´ve already read the article and jaja you`re right it makes me hungry too. I am interested in frijoles charros and sopa de tortilla.I think we can turn them blue. And I also want to add pambazo, elote and enchiladas pictures.Nathaly07 19:30, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey guys!
So glad you want my help! Now, I have a few tips for you to start to think about. Firstly, when you edit Wikipedia, the very first page you should go to is the login screen (located here) and log in. Otherwise, I have no idea who you are, which can be very confusing :)
Now, tip number 2: When you leave a comment on someone else's talk page, make sure to leave a header that says what you're about to say above it to separate it from the rest of the conversations going on. For example, if you wanter to know what the Five pillar's of Wikipedia are, you'd write something like this:
== The Five pillars of Wikipedia == What are the five pillars of Wikipedia? ~~~~
Note that the header, "The Five pillars of Wikipedia", is placed with two equal signs (==) on each side, and that the question was signed with four tildes (~~~~). Happy editing, Arky ¡Hablar! 20:38, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. We are going to talk about archeological places in Mexico (Teotenango pyramids) what do you say???

[edit] Reminder to Mentors and Students
Please remember to do all communication concerning work related to the course on this discussion page. It is the only page I can monitor and give students credit for doing their work. Thank you!!! Thelmadatter 13:55, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestion for discussion
The three contributions that students need to do next partial (~October) is to significantly edit an article, create a stub and translate an article from English Wikipedia for Spanish Wikipedia. Mentors, if you would be so kind as to look over the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mexico, Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mexico and Category:Mexico_stubs pages to help students discuss and select projects to do in October. For more information, see the Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus page. Thank you! Thelmadatter 13:58, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tutorial
Before you guys really start seriously editing, you should check out Wikipedia:Tutorial. It has lots of really cool information on how to use Wikipedia. Cheers, ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 02:09, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey guys, the one thing you have to make sure is that your article is notable. You can read the guidelines here, it is really helpful. Hello Kti, nice to meet you, Nathaly, we've already met (I adore music as well), and Elizabeth, great to meet you, do you prefer Eliak?, Daniela, I love your name, it is great to meet you! Here's a tip for you guys. If you put four tildes, like this, ~~~~, it shows who's made the post. Here, I can be pretty sure it's you guys, but if you're talking to Wikipedians unrelated to the assignment, or if you choose to continue working here after your project, it is nice to know who's talking. Hope I'm helpful, and hope to see you soon! Love, Neranei (talk) 00:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Work we are doing on the cosmovirtal section of the Toluca page
The Cosmovitral is located in a stone and ironwork building built in 1910 by engineer Manuel Arratia in order to accommodate the “16 de Septiembre” market. It was constructed in Art Nouveau and Neoclassical style with an area of 5 thousand square meters. It is now a botanical garden with more than 400 species of plants from all over the world. The gardens also feature a series of stained glass windows that are considered the largest in the world. These windows were created by Leopoldo Flores. Cosmovitral was inaugurated in 1980 and completed in 1990. The stained glass ceiling represents the Milky Way and joins the “Hombre Sol” (Sun Man) with the Galaxy of Andromeda. It is a monumental piece measuring 3,200 square meters with more than 30 thousand pieces and half a million crystals of 28 different colors coming from many different parts of the world. It has a series of scenes that symbolize man's idea in search of the light, the good and the wisdom to elevate his spirit to liberate him from the shadows of evil and the ignorance in an epic tale without beginning or end. On the spring equinox, the solar disc crosses the heart of "El hombre Sol", The sun man, causing an explosion of light.
